A Psychological Recovery Group for Veterans Has Started Operating in Zhytomyr

A comprehensive psychological recovery program for veterans has launched at the Resilience Center in Zhytomyr. The initial sessions were dedicated to participants’ adaptation, building mutual trust, and establishing a safe environment for further progress.

Qualified guidance for the project is provided by psychologists, support group facilitators, and trauma-focused counselors Liliia Sokoliuk and Kateryna Kyriienko. The specialists lead group work and offer individual consultations.

As part of the program, participants have already completed their first practical stage—an equine therapy (hippotherapy) session designed to reduce emotional tension, enhance concentration, and improve overall well-being. Upcoming modules include canine-assisted therapy, VR therapy, art and clay therapy, as well as practices based on the philosophy of Kintsugi.

The launch of the second group is scheduled for August 21, which will allow an additional 10 veterans to join the program and receive comprehensive psychological support.

The project is implemented with the support of The Eneida Foundation and the BGV Charity Fund.
