The Resilience Center in Zhytomyr welcomed the founders and members of the “Care Ambassadors” initiative 💛
This community brings together adoptive parents, foster parents, family-type caregivers, and guardians — offering a safe space to discuss difficult topics, share experiences, and find support.
The initiative was created by parents themselves and supported by the Coordination Center for Family-Based Care and Child Development together with UNICEF Ukraine.
During a panel discussion dedicated to the “care map,” Liliia Sokoliuk, Head of the Zhytomyr Resilience Center, shared how the Center supports families by engaging partner organizations to provide comprehensive assistance and respond to the needs of all family members.
She also spoke about the opportunities available to parents at Resilience Centers across Zhytomyr region — from psychological counseling to participation in dedicated support groups for guardians and caregivers.
Throughout the day, a psychologist was available at the Center, offering individual consultations to participants.
We are grateful to the Coordination Center for Family-Based Care and Child Development and to Iryna Zaremba for their trust and for the opportunity to be part of such an important conversation about care, mutual support, and the power of community.
