“Svity” is a safe space created for teenagers aged 10 to 16 who have experienced loss of home, had to flee shelling, or found themselves in a new environment without friends and familiar life. Our visitors include children of military personnel and internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Kherson, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and other regions. Here, they find understanding, support, and an opportunity to feel safe again.
In one year of operation:
99 teenagers have completed the center’s program
Over 550 training sessions and workshops conducted
The center’s program includes:
Individual and group sessions with psychologists
Art therapy and restorative practices
Conversational English and sports activities
Workshops, interactive lessons, and play sessions
Basics of video filming and blogging
The center also implements therapy through interaction with toys. In a specially designed room, each teenager can find a “friend” to help cope with stress and tension. This is one of the methods used to work with traumatic experiences, helping children adapt and restore their psychological balance.
