The BGV Charity Fund, together with partners, implemented the “Safe Territory” project, within which trainings on mine safety and first aid were held for internally displaced persons in the Bilohorodka community.
In total, 80 people — including teenagers, adults, teachers, and social workers — learned how to act safely near mines and acquired first aid skills for cases where an explosion has occurred.
The trainings were conducted by the chief inspector of the Department for Emergency Prevention of the Bucha District Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv Oblast, a major of the civil protection service, and the head of the health protection point of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kyiv Oblast.
During the training, participants received handouts that they can distribute in schools during thematic class hours. Equipment purchased for the trainings included a projector with screen, a laptop, and 80 sets of themed card games, which will remain in the community.
