Renovation of a shelter in the Zolochiv Community

From July to September 2024, the BGV Charity Fund team worked on a project aimed at supporting a community living near the front line.

As part of this initiative, and in collaboration with the Fund’s partners, BGV successfully renovated a shelter in the Zolochiv community of Kharkiv region in the shortest possible time.

Now, the 108.6 m² bomb shelter is fully adapted to safely accommodate up to 200 residents of the settlement for extended periods.

The renovated space is equipped with a toilet, shower, kitchen, beds with mattresses, and internet access, ensuring a basic level of comfort and connectivity even in emergency situations.

Funding for the renovation — UAH 560,000 — was provided within the framework of the “Support for the Recovery of Communities in Eastern Ukraine” project implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation with the support of Switzerland through Swiss Solidarity.

The BGV Charity Fund sincerely thanks all partners for their vital support in helping protect and empower communities living under threat.
