In June 2024, the BGV Charity Fund received a $10,000 grant for the project “Restoration of Farms in the De-Occupied Territories of Kherson Region.” The project was selected from nearly 200 proposals by donors DanChurchAid and the Southern Development Strategy.
As part of the project implementation, the Fund’s team, in cooperation with the NGO “What Have You Done?”, purchased, delivered, and distributed laying hens along with grain for feeding. The aid was provided to 230 low-income families in the village of Zelenivka, Kherson region — including internally displaced persons, large families, and families with people with disabilities. Each family received 10 hens and 60 kg of grain, which will be enough to feed the poultry for the first 30 days, providing the families with eggs, meat, and a potential source of income to help restore their damaged farms.
The BGV Charity Fund sincerely thanks the donors — DanChurchAid, Norwegian Church Aid, and the Southern Development Strategy — for supporting the implementation of this project, as well as the NGO “What Have You Done?” for their organizational assistance. The project was implemented with the support of the Southern Development Strategy in partnership with the joint DanChurchAid and Kirkens Nødhjelp office in Ukraine, with funding from the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Ukraine).
