In response to the war that has deprived not only people but also thousands of animals of their homes, BGV Charity Fund launched the initiative “Care Without Words.” In cooperation with partners from Germany — #WeAreAllUkrainians and Schenke ein Lächeln PETS — the fund delivered 54.5 tons of feed to 23 shelters, animal protection funds, and rehabilitation centers across Ukraine.
This aid is for those who cannot ask for help in words, but whose eyes say it all — rescued animals who have endured loss, war, and evacuation.
Who we helped:
Animal shelters providing refuge to hundreds and even thousands of dogs and cats;
Organizations involved in evacuating animals from frontline areas;
Centers that treat, sterilize, and socialize animals;
Volunteer initiatives that rescue and feed animals daily in difficult conditions.
Among them are organizations such as “Sirius,” Hostomel Shelter, Zoo Shelter “Kovcheg,” Unity Ukraine Charity Fund, “What Have You Done?”, “Homeless World,” “Friend,” “4 Paws,” “Dnipro Animals,” “12 Guardians,” and many others.
Project results:
54.5 tons of feed for rescued animals
23 organizations throughout Ukraine
Thousands of tails that did not go hungry
Assistance delivered where it is most needed — in de-occupied and frontline territories
