The war in Ukraine has significantly affected all aspects of life — from the environment to the financial situation of individual families. Children remain one of the most vulnerable groups in need of comprehensive support and assistance.

On February 6, 2024, the BGV Charity Fund, together with the project initiator — the German non-profit organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, and the German donor — dm-drogerie markt (DM), announced the launch of a new project to help children. The project’s logistics partner, Nova Poshta, will deliver aid to every family across Ukraine free of charge.

The project has two important goals:

  • Reduce families’ expenses on diapers by providing reusable training pants that can be washed. Over time, this will allow parents to buy only the refill inserts, which are much cheaper than regular diapers;

  • Decrease the amount of waste generated by traditional disposable diapers, which contain many environmentally harmful materials.

All families can participate in the project regardless of whether they have previously received assistance from the BGV Fund.

Applications for aid are accepted for babies born from February 6, 2021 — meaning children aged 0 to 3 years at the time of the project launch.

WHO CAN RECEIVE A KIT?

A charity kit can be received by any family with a child from any region or locality in Ukraine (except temporarily occupied territories).

Applications for assistance are accepted for babies born from February 6, 2021 — meaning children aged 0 to 3 years at the time of the project launch, as the diapers in the kits are designed specifically for this age group. The kits come in different sizes, tailored for children of various weights: S (3–8 kg), M (7–12 kg), L (11–18 kg).

Our Fund sends one kit per child. Therefore, if your family has two or more children of this age group, you may apply to receive a kit for each child.

Please note that when submitting an application, you can select only one diaper size that corresponds to the child’s weight. Duplicate applications will be automatically rejected by the system.

HOW TO RECEIVE A KIT?

Receiving aid is very simple. Fill out a short application on our website, providing information about yourself and your child, your contact details, and the shipping information for delivery via Nova Poshta.

Attach photos or scans of the necessary documents — the child’s birth certificate, your ID card (both sides), or passport (first page, second page, and the page with your registration), and your individual tax number (ITN). If your family has several children aged 0 to 3 years, please submit a separate application for each child, specifying a DIFFERENT ITN (for example, mother’s and father’s).

After filling out and submitting the online form on our website, please be sure to confirm your application. A special confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.

To confirm the application, open your email inbox, find the message from BGV Charity Fund (check your Spam, Promotions, or Social folders), and click the link or special button in the email. Without this verification, your application cannot be processed by our system.

After confirmation, the system will generate your application number and send the details of your application to your email. Please save this number for future reference.

We process applications within a few weeks. If all the information you provided is correct, your application will be automatically approved, and the kit will be sent to the Nova Poshta branch you specified. Otherwise, we will contact you by email to clarify the information.

ADVANTAGES OF ECO-DIAPERS:

Unlike disposable hygiene products, knit training pants do not cause allergies, do not restrict active movement, and allow the baby’s skin to “breathe.”

Environmental friendliness: the new generation of diapers — babylove nature Pro Climate hybrid diapers — are especially eco-friendly: they take up less space and save 18% of the material used in disposable inserts, significantly reducing the amount of waste.

Hypoallergenic: hybrid diapers do not contain lotions, perfumes, or latex, so they will not irritate the baby’s sensitive skin.
