Despite the war and destruction, new life continues to be born in Ukraine. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for mothers to give birth in bomb shelters, basements, metro stations, during evacuations, and even under shelling. Hundreds of destroyed hospitals and pharmacies, bombed stores and food warehouses, and disrupted supplies of baby products from abroad have all led to a shortage of specialized goods for new mothers. Postpartum mothers and their babies in the first months of life need special care and support today more than ever.
Our BGV Charity Fund, in cooperation with German donors, has launched a charitable project in Ukraine aimed at helping and supporting mothers in Ukraine.
We have collected and delivered to Ukraine 10,000 kits for newborns and their mothers containing the most essential items for the first months after birth. Each kit includes specialized products from Germany, such as baby clothes (bodysuits, rompers, socks, and hats), sleepers for newborns, diapers, bottles, pacifiers, changing mats, swaddling cloths, skin care products for both baby and mother, hygiene products (pads, wet wipes, and moist towels), as well as baby food and treats for mothers.
All these kits will be sent free of charge by Nova Poshta to mothers of newborn babies throughout Ukraine, including delivery.
We support new life in Ukraine! We believe in a happy future!
