BGV Charity Fund has twice supported the All-Ukrainian Greco-Roman Wrestling Tournaments dedicated to the Defenders of Ukraine. In 2023 and 2024, the competitions were held in Kyiv, bringing together young wrestlers from various regions of the country.
The 2023 tournament took place on October 14–15 and involved athletes under the age of 14. The youngest participants were born in 2016, and the oldest in 2009. The event was organized by a children’s and youth sports school aiming not only to promote Greco-Roman wrestling, but also to give young athletes the opportunity to gain competition experience, build character, achieve sports ranks, and form strong friendships.
In 2024, the tournament was initiated by the Wrestling and Boxing School Wrestling Bereznyaki and was again dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. The event united talented boys who work hard every day and dream of great sports victories.
“Despite the war, life goes on. That means, provided all safety measures are strictly followed, we must look for opportunities to hold various activities for children. Including sports competitions that build character and help young athletes stay in good physical shape,” said Polina Aldoshyna, Director of the BGV Charity Fund.
The BGV Charity Fund remains committed to supporting the development of children’s and youth sports in Ukraine, helping young athletes grow professionally and paving the way for future stars not only on the Ukrainian stage, but also on the global arena.
