The Resilience Center, in cooperation with the “YaMariupol. Zhytomyr” team, hosted a supportive session for internally displaced women titled “A Moment for Yourself: Creating Resource and Strength.” The meeting focused on finding internal pillars and the ability to maintain resilience during times of significant life changes. The program combined heartfelt dialogue, meditation practices, and symbolic art therapy.
The highlight of the event was the creation of a “Flower of Strength” using wine as a painting medium. This technique was chosen for its symbolism: much like grapes undergo pressure to become wine, a woman’s journey through trials often results in greater strength and character. Through the creative process, participants learned to find beauty in their personal experiences and transform hardships into a source of personal energy and dignity.
This initiative marks another step in supporting displaced persons by helping them find a safe community and restore their psycho-emotional balance. Experts from the Resilience Center and partners from “YaMariupol” expressed their gratitude to the participants for the sincerity that helped create a space of mutual understanding and empowerment.
