Halloween at SviTy: How Creativity and Play Help Teenagers Overcome Their Fears

A themed Halloween party took place at the SviTy space, bringing teenagers together through creativity and communication. Preparations began well in advance: participants independently designed decorations, crafted the atmosphere, and created their own costumes. The program was full of activities — from interactive games and a best costume contest to screenings of original short films that the teams produced специально for the event. The evening concluded with a shared pizza dinner and an exchange of treats.

Beyond the entertainment, the Halloween celebration carried an important psychological dimension. Through play and role transformation, teenagers were able to safely explore their fears, unlock their creative potential, and feel the support of like-minded peers. This format of interaction encourages emotional release, fosters self-discovery, and strengthens friendships within the community.

Celebrating holidays together at the SviTy center remains an important part of building youth resilience — creating a space where everyone can express themselves and experience positive emotions.
