This past weekend, the city of Korosten hosted another stage of the national adaptive sports tournament for war veterans — “Strong Ukrainians.”
BGV Charity Fund proudly served as the general partner of this important initiative.
We have supported the tournament for four consecutive years, because we believe that sport is not only about physical strength. It is a path to recovery, self-confidence, and a sense of unity. These competitions bring together veterans who, every day, show examples of resilience, courage, and unbreakable spirit.
💪 This year’s tournament brought together 220 participants from across Ukraine. Veterans competed in disciplines such as bench press, kettlebell snatch, rowing machine, and air bike. Every one of them is already a winner — because the greatest victory is reclaiming oneself and discovering a new quality of life after all they have endured.
We are grateful to the event organizers — the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and the Strongman Federation of Ukraine — for their consistent support of our defenders and for creating an inclusive environment for recovery.
“Strong Ukrainians” is a national adaptive sports tournament for veterans and service members who sustained injuries — both visible and invisible — as a result of combat. The initiative is part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Barrier-Free Accessibility and Ukraine’s veteran policy.
BGV Charity Fund is honored to stand alongside our veterans. Together, we are building a stronger Ukraine — in body, in spirit, and in shared values.
