The first meeting with future volunteers: about trust, community, and the desire to take action

At the Resilience Center, the first meeting with volunteers took place — people who want to be helpful and make their surroundings a better place.
This was more than just an introduction — it marked the beginning of forming a community that unites active and caring residents of Zhytomyr.

In a warm and informal atmosphere, participants shared their experiences, discussed expectations, and explored ways to support the community together. “Volunteering is a calling of the soul,” noted Anna Holubenko, coordinator of the Zhytomyr Kalynky Volunteer Center.

This is just the beginning — the Resilience Center is launching a series of coordination meetings for everyone who wants to join the volunteer movement.

During the meetings, participants will learn:

  • where help is most needed right now;

  • what types of volunteering are available — from event participation to working with vulnerable groups;

  • how to get involved in the Center’s initiatives and become part of an active support network.

If this mission resonates with you — join us! Together, we are building a community of caring people where everyone matters💙
