We recently became part of Philea Forum 2025 — the largest philanthropic event in Europe and the first of its kind for our foundation.
It was a space where critical questions about trust, equity, power, and accountability in philanthropy were raised — and where the voices of those working in the reality of war needed to be heard.
The forum gathered over 800 participants from 44 countries — representatives of major foundations, research centers, and civil society organizations. And we were among them — as part of the Ukrainian sector that operates daily under extremely challenging conditions.
For us, participating in Philea wasn’t just about exchanging experiences. It was an opportunity to take an honest look at ourselves from the outside and to reflect on key questions:
👉 What more can we do as a foundation?
👉 How do we maintain people’s trust?
👉 What does lasting partnership really mean?
These were days filled with meaningful meetings, open dialogue, and powerful moments when we spoke about Ukraine — and were truly heard. We thank everyone who asked important questions and was ready to listen.
Philea Forum reminded us: philanthropy is not just about aid — it’s about relationships, choices, and balance.
We’re grateful to have been part of this experience. Thank you, Lisbon, for your warm hospitality 💙💛
