Strength that Inspires: The Story of Veteran Yevhen Korinets

Today, on Heroes’ Day, we share a story that embodies true resilience.

Yevhen Korinets is a veteran, paramedic, and athlete. A fighter of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, he was wounded near Bakhmut and underwent an amputation. After a long rehabilitation, he not only returned to active life but also became a participant in the Paralympic Games in Paris.

Yevhen is not just an example of endurance. He is a friend of our Center for Resilience. He regularly attends consultations to better understand himself, connect with fellow veterans, and build the inner strength needed to support others.

“I saw on Facebook that such a Center exists and decided to visit. I didn’t have a specific request; I just wanted to talk. I liked the specialists’ approach — it’s clear they truly understand and have up-to-date knowledge about working with military personnel,” Yevhen shares.

His journey is about the courage to be open, the power of sharing experience, and the ability to support others. Yevhen holds motivational meetings, talks about the benefits of psychological help, and assists other veterans in finding inner balance.

“Here, I was able to remove the armor not from my body, but from my soul,” Yevhen says.

We are sincerely glad to be alongside our Heroes on this path.
