At the Center for Resilience, we are working to create a comprehensive support system for veterans. One key direction is psychoeducational sessions for veteran support specialists — the people who serve as the first line of assistance every day, guiding veterans toward resources, help, and understanding.
During these sessions, we cover important topics such as adaptive mechanisms, the effects of psychological trauma, and mental recovery tools. This space allows specialists not only to gain knowledge but also to rethink their own role in the support process.
A special value is added by the participation of Andriy Oleksandrovych Zabihailo — a veteran and head of the Veterans Affairs Department of the Zhytomyr City Council. His openness, practical experience, and engagement in dialogue foster a deeper level of understanding and trust.
We are grateful for this cooperation, as it helps unite efforts to build a sustainable and veteran-sensitive environment. Psychologists from the Center actively engage with mental health needs, while the community of specialists grows through knowledge, reflection, and partnership.
