Last week, right after another tense night in the capital, our team headed to the Adoption Center at VDNH to walk the dogs. The city was still echoing with sirens, but our furry friends welcomed us warmly in their shelter. They were simply waiting — for a walk, for care, and for a human companion nearby.
Although every day we tirelessly work to help Ukrainians and implement large-scale projects — purchasing vehicles and equipment for defenders, distributing 10,000 kits for families with young children, supporting the Resilience Center and “SviTy” — we also don’t forget about simple acts like volunteering with our own hands.
Taking some time, grabbing a leash, and giving a furry friend just 30 minutes of walking, joy, and support — for us, it’s just a few minutes of our day, but for them, it’s a chance to feel needed and to socialize. This is no less important. This is also help. This is also about resilience despite difficult times.
We thank the VDNH Animal Adoption Center for their work, for giving animals a roof over their heads and a chance to find their family. We will definitely come back again and warmly invite everyone to join us.
Because in such hard times as now, being there for each other is especially important — even if that “someone” has a tail and a wet nose.
