The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has received four advanced mobile camps, delivered through a partnership between German company KB Container and the BGV Charity Fund.
Each camp consists of a series of containers that together create full-scale living and service conditions for personnel in field environments. In total, over 140 mobile modules make up more than 2,400 square meters of living and operational space, equipped with residential rooms, sanitary facilities, kitchens, and power generator units.
“Comfort and mobility are critically important for the effective service of border guards. These new modular camps will provide modern conditions for personnel, enhancing their endurance and readiness to perform tasks in any environment,” emphasized the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The construction of the containers required over 370 tons of steel, and the project involved more than 400 hours of engineering work. In terms of outfitting, these camps are the most advanced solutions ever produced by KB Container, even surpassing the standards used for the German military.
The modular camps will be used by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine to house and train personnel, ensuring comfortable conditions for their service across various settings.
“This project is a clear example of how international cooperation and support from European partners help Ukraine build modern infrastructure for its defenders. Nearly two years passed from the initial talks with our German partners to the delivery of the containers. It is the most large-scale project in the history of our foundation. We are deeply grateful to our partners in Germany for their trust and collaboration, and to everyone who worked on this initiative. Every container, every square meter of these camps is a step toward strengthening Ukraine’s security and ensuring dignified conditions for those who protect it,” said Polina Aldoshina, Head of the BGV Charity Fund.
The handover of the mobile camps marks another milestone in the strategic cooperation between Ukraine and Germany in the fields of security and humanitarian aid.
