From April 11 to 13, Zhytomyr hosted the II All-Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament “Olympic Hopes 2025.” The event, which brought together over 550 athletes from across Ukraine, was supported for the second time by the BGV Charity Fund.
The competition was organized by the public organization “School of Rhythmic Gymnastics ‘Olympic Hopes,’” represented by Anastasiya Onufrak and Anastasiya Levchuk. The chief judge of the tournament was Marina Semenyuk from Uzhhorod, an international-category FIG judge.
Young gymnasts arrived in Zhytomyr from 12 regions — Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Zakarpattia, Vinnytsia, Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr. The competition included participants as young as 5 years old, as well as experienced athletes — masters of sport up to 21 years old.
Teams from Zhytomyr — “Olympic Hopes” and “Dynamivets” — proudly represented the region. The “Olympic Hopes” athletes won a total of 37 medals:
🥇 16 gold medals
🥈 9 silver medals
🥉 12 bronze medals
“We at BGV believe that supporting children and youth means building a strong and dignified country. The ‘Olympic Hopes’ tournament is not only about sports but also about fostering leadership, responsibility, and respect for effort. We are glad to be part of an event that shapes a healthy, strong, and ambitious generation,” said Oleg Pastushchak, Executive Director of the BGV Charity Fund.
“Watching these graceful and determined girls, including graduates of Zhytomyr’s ‘Olympic Hopes’ and ‘Dynamivets’ schools, is witnessing the triumph of character, strength of spirit, and belief in dreams. In these difficult times for the country, events like this inspire hope and unite the community. Therefore, support from patrons and sponsors is very important,” emphasized Vitaliy Bunechko, Head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration.
The BGV Charity Fund has supported this sporting event in Zhytomyr for the second time, demonstrating consistent attention to the development of children’s sports, especially during challenging times for the country.
