On March 31, 2025, the Resilience Center in Zhytomyr, operating with the support of BGV Charity Fund, was visited by Oksana Zholnovych, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine. This important event highlighted the significance of the daily work we do to support people in need.
The tour of the Resilience Center and the «SviTy» Psychosocial Support Center for Teenagers was conducted by the Fund’s Director, Polina Aldoshyna. She demonstrated how these spaces have become hubs of support for those who need care and stability. The Head of the Resilience Center, Liliya Sokoluk, introduced the team of specialists and outlined the key areas of activity: psychological assistance, stress reduction, resilience training — all aimed at military personnel, veterans, internally displaced persons, and their families.
During the meeting, we discussed ways to make the resilience-building service even more accessible for residents of the Zhytomyr region. Special attention was given to a comprehensive approach — from assessing psychological needs to implementing individualized support plans. We also touched on enhancing coordination of volunteer initiatives to maximize the effectiveness of our aid.
A memorable part of the visit was the opportunity to join a training session conducted by the Center’s specialists for police officers of the Zhytomyr Regional Security Police. Participants shared their expectations and impressions of the Center’s work, emphasizing its role as a source of strength and care.
Oksana Zholnovych noted: «Resilience Centers are about unity. The home front must be strong. Our enemies try to sow panic and division, but we can support people and give them a sense of light — this is tremendous work.»
For BGV Charity Fund, this visit became a stimulus for new achievements. We continue working so that everyone who turns to the Center can overcome challenges and preserve their inner strength.
