For the second consecutive year, BGV Charity Fund has supported the First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit, which this year focused on ‘Protecting Children: Guarantees of a Safe Future’.

The event was attended by Polina Aldoshina, Chair of the Fund, and Anna Butkevich, co-founder of BGV Charity Fund.

“It is especially important that global attention on Ukraine remains strong. We must continue to speak about our challenges, seek support, and remind the world that it is not only our country but also freedom and fundamental values that are under threat today,” said Anna Butkevich.

During the Summit, participants and experts addressed key aspects of child safety, including:

• The devastating impact of war on children, their rescue, and holding aggressors accountable for crimes against them.
• Challenges faced by parents, government programs for family support, and children’s mental health issues.
• Every child’s right to quality education, which is at risk due to the pandemic, military conflicts, and natural disasters.
• Environmental safety for children.

The Summit concluded with a joint declaration, aimed at uniting global leaders in protecting children’s rights during armed conflicts and wars.
