Representatives of the fund and the football club handed over a symbolic check for 325,606 hryvnias to the defenders on March 9 at the stadium in Zhytomyr.
The BGV Charity Fund’s permanent sports partner, the “Polissia” Football Club, will transfer all funding from ticket sales for home matches of the current season that will last until May 31, 2024, to address the specific needs of the military.
The first donation was 325,606 hryvnias from the game against “LNZ” from Cherkasy. The BGV Charity Fund will use the contribution to purchase protective gear and a reconnaissance drone for the 132nd Separate Reconnaissance Battalion of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The “Polissia” Football Club, along with the BGV Charity Fund, has been providing assistance and addressing the needs of the Ukrainian military since the beginning of the full-scale invasion through joint projects.
