BGV Charity Fund, together with Hanseatic Help and #WeAreAllUkrainians, distributed 700 gifts to children at the “Okhmatdyt” hospital

The BGV fund, along with its German partners — non-profit organizations Hanseatic Help and #WeAreAllUkrainians — hosted a St. Nicholas Day celebration for the second consecutive year for young Ukrainian patients receiving treatment at the national specialized hospital “Ohmatdyt.”

On St. Nicholas Day, the fund director, Polina Aldoshyna, and other team members from the BGV Charity Fund visited the children’s hospital to personally greet the kids and hand out 700 gift bags filled with sweets, toys, sketchbooks, and markers. Even St. Nicholas himself made an appearance to meet with the little patients.

German non-profit organizations Hanseatic Help and #WeAreAllUkrainians provided €125,000 to support targeted holiday events and gifts for socially vulnerable children.

“In these challenging times, when the war continues, and our country is fighting for its territory, these children are facing another battle — for their health. We are happy to bring them some festive cheer and give them a break from worrying about their illnesses,” said the head of the fund.

Supporting young Ukrainians during the war is one of the BGV fund’s priorities.
