The BGV Charitable Foundation, together with the non-profit organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, donated a total of 5,000 euros to the Chisinau Geriatric Boarding House in Zhytomyr Oblast.
These funds were used to purchase household appliances and furniture: washing machines, a water heater, a freezer, a gas stove with an electric oven, an electric pot, as well as beds, cabinets, and mattresses.
Today there are 37 people staying in the boarding house. Among them are elderly and disabled people who need special care from the staff.
“We are aware that, unfortunately, state geriatric boarding houses have insufficient funding, so we responded to the request of the Olev City Council to facilitate the working conditions of the staff and improve the living conditions of those who live in the facility,” said Polina Aldoshina, director of the BGV Charitable Foundation.
We would like to remind you that assistance to vulnerable categories of the population in Ukraine during the war is one of the priority areas of the Fund’s activities.
